Jay Electronica: The Announcement x Shiny Suit Theory

One of the dopest Mc's out, finally has a deal. For weeks now there have been rumors as to where Jay Electronica was gonna go, most people thought it was gonna be with Diddy over on Bad Boy. But in a surprising turn of events Jay. E signed with Jay-z over on Roc nation. The Announcement was made official last week. Jay. E said he made the descision because of the creative control he would have over his music. So for those that are keeping score, Roc Nation has on its roster: J. Cole, Wale, and Jay electronica. Those are 3 of the most talented guys in the game right now and in heavy rotation on the site.

Diggy: Airborne

Now as a fan of all things hip-hop, I can honestly say that when I heard this mixtape I wasn't disappointed. This is the latest mixtape from Diggy Simmons. Yes that's right Diggy Simmons, Rev. Runs son. I have heard some of his stuff before but never actually listened to a mixtape. The kid has talent and his sound is refreshing. It's nice to hear something new from an artist who actually has some skill. Now I'm not saying he is the next Jay-Z or anything, but the kid is fly.

NBA Free Agent Moves

So if you haven't been paying attention to the NBA free agents, here is a quick update. On tuesday (7/6/10) it was annouced that Amare Stoudemire has been picked up by the New York Knicks in a sign and trade deal. And just yesterday (7/7/10), Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh were interviewed on ESPN telling the world that they will be signing with the Miami Heat. Also yesterday it was revealed that Carlos Boozer from the Utah Jazz has signed with the Chicago Bulls.

My thoughts: Amare Stoudemire with the knicks will only work if he has a good team around him. Coming from the Phoenix Suns he had alot of players around him that made the team as a whole work. On the knicks, at this point it would essentially be Amare and a bunch of no factor players. Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in miami is an excellent move. Now all the miami front office has to do is build up the roster and they are in playoff contention immediately. Now with the Carlos Boozer deal, it's a safe deal more than anything. Chicago was hoping to get a combo of the big 3 free agents (Wade, Bosh, and Lebron James).

That's it so far and tonight on espn Leborn James is supposed to be making his announcement. speculation is that he will be signing with Miami. Tune into Espn at 9pm for the press conference.

The Cool Kids: Tacklebox

I've really been on a big mixtape kick lately, and this one has been in frequent rotation. The Cool Kids Latest Mixtape "Tacklebox" was released a few weeks ago and it's dope. This is just more material from the Chicago MC's Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks. Their debut album "When Fish Ride Bicycles" has been in limbo for the last two years due to legal issues with former label Chocolate industries. But I have got wind that the legal foolishness is close to over and the album is expected to be released sometime in september. But in the meantime, check out "Tacklebox".
